Tear it up!!!

I've never been one for torn anything. To me the whole torn look just made me feel like I needed a new pair of jeans. However, the recent torn trend has turned me into a believer! It has to be done beautifully and paired with other great statement pieces. Acne is one to make this trend look fantastically on point. Take a look at some of the torn inspiration photos I found. Singing Beauty.

There are a few people that I always refer to for fashion inspiration. Lykke Li, the Swedish musician, is one of these magical women. She has this amazing aura about her. Like a delicate flower that could, if need be, kick your ass in heels. Her impeccable taste is something to inspire to in many ways. Although many of her outfits involve black on black on black they are still a performance in their own right. She very carefully chooses clothing that seems to move as she moves. I could watch her for hours.

This is one of the loveliest weddings I have ever seen. It has the feel of old southern glamour with touches of minimalist modernism.  The bride and groom are gorgeous, and it's not just my bias opinion because shes my style hero, I mean icon.  I hope you enjoy.

Tweed! No not TWEET, TWEED.  Did we almost forget you? This incredible, classic fabric has rendered us hopelessly in love.  Many times in this fast paced world full of updates, tweets, posts, and pics, we don't stop to admire the beauty around us.  Especially the beauty of a wonderfully weaved tweed jacket.  Ms. Chanel had a clue or two, or three about the beauty of this magical fabric. She understood the glory of a quality tweed blazer, skirt, or coat.  Throw a purse in there and you're in tweed heaven.  Some of my most recent favorites have been the tweed pieces by Zara.  Here are a few for you all to check out!

Hope is where dreams are made.

This is not my usual fun post. Unfortunately a very special person is very sick and we are hoping for the very best in a worst case scenario. As much as we all like to stay positive I realize that it's not always easy. But it is important. There is a family who needs a great deal of hope and now the dream of their son waking up from a coma is only made of hope. I don't really know who will read this but I hope that just for one second you will take a moment and keep this family in your thoughts. I don't know when I'll be back to posting fun things but sometimes we must take the time to think of those around us who need our thoughts more than we think of ourselves. My dream today comes from the hope that someone will read this and say, " I love you" to someone important. My friend didn't have that chance. I truly hope he will again soon.

A Colorful Gem.

Our wonderful little, dependable friend the flat.  Oh how many times have my poor, tired feet been saved by these charming characters.  They are full of spunk and so encouraging.  A great pair of flats can make you feel as though you could rule the world and never get tired. Now do not misunderstand me, a great pair of heels will do just the same expect that you may lose a toe after a busy day of ruling the world.
